House of Thule: The Feerrott

The Feerrott

Overview

The Feerrott is reached via a statue in the original Feerrott, the Ogguk stone in Plane of Knowledge, or the guild hall. All the base exits in the zone take you back to the original zones except for the House of Thule zone to the south leading deeper into the expansion. As with the rest of the expansion rare mobs have specific PH's with slightly different names, such as "a deceased traveler" being the PH for Diggory the Traveler where "a fallen traveler" is just a regular trash mob. In addition to the 23 loot dropping rare mobs there are four zonewide random drops:

Rare Mobs

Blackbone

PH is "a bloodied skeleton" and "a blackened spirit". Hits for up to 6700. Has two spells:

Dark Resistance - PBAE which slowly pushes you away.
Darkbolt - Targeted AE 15k dd.

Bouncer Captain Grak

PH is "Bouncer Flerb" and "Bouncer Hurd". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Face Smash - single target 25k dd and stun.

Drops - Grak's Crude Stein, Bouncer's Best Friend, Clurg's Prized Stein

Diggory the Traveler

PH is "a deceased traveler". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Rot Bolt - single target 20k dd and 5k dot.

Drops - Golden Band of the Traveler, Traveler's Strongbox, Diggory's Ring

Donna the Explorer

PH is "a waterlogged explorer". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Rot Bolt - single target 20k dd and 5k dot.

Drops - Tear of the Mourning Lover, Deadman's Battleaxe, Donna's Tear of Lost Love

Enraged Gorilla Patriarch

PH is "an angry gorilla patriarch". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Chest Thump - Large range PBAE 25k dd and stun.

Drops - Drape of the Ape, Fearful Spiked Knuckles, Great Ape's Nape Drape

Expedition Leader Krupp

PH is "an aggitated spirit". Hits for up to 6500, spawns two adds when agro'd (can be rooted and mezzed) and casts:

Achilles Cut - single target 3k dot and snare.

Drops - Explorer's Cape, Gem of Unwavering Tenacity, Krupp's Drape of Exploration

Fearful Specter

PH is "a bloodbone lich". Hits for up to 6000 and casts:

Touch of Fear - single target fear.
Dread Pulse - 125 range PBAE 23k dd, stun, and short duration snare.

Drops - Trinket of the Fearful, Sword of the Specter, Spectral Skull of the Fear

Festerback

PH is "a decaying gorilla". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Creeping Pustules - PBAE 5k dot with 30 disease counters. If not cured it spreads.

Drops - Putrid Gorilla Fur Mask, Rattle of the Easily Amused, Festerface

Huetzin the Brute

PH is "a lizardman thug". Hits for up to 10,000 rarely but has not spells.
Drops - Earring of Lethargic Rage, Brutal Enforcer, Brute's Bangle of Sluggish Precision

Malice

PH is "a corrupt orbweaver". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Sulfurous Venom - single target 5k dot, 4k mana dot. 30 poison counters.

Drops - Girdle of the Feartouched Arachnid, Feartouched Fang of Ferociousness, Malice's Girdle of Fearsome Torture

Patches

PH is "a ravenous rotdog". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Bloodfeed - single target 5k lifetap dot.

Sable

PH is "a sinuous adder". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Bloodspray - frontal 20k dd, 5k dot, and stun AE.

Drops - Whitened Totem, Scale of the Dark Serpent, Bleached Totem

Sentinel Quilaztli

PH is "a frenzied Tae Ew". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Precision Strike - single target 20k dd and stun.

Drops - Shards of the Jungle Sentinel, Quilaztli's Cutlass, Chipped Shards of Dread

Shaman Ixchell

PH is "a lizardman visionary". . Hits for up to 6500, summons a basilisk short duration pet frequently, and casts:

Swarm of Bees - single target 3k dot which reduces spell damage. 30 curse counters.

Drops - Raven Claw Amulet, Shield of Rituals, Horrific Shrunken Head

Tanglewolf Alpha

PH is "a tanglefang hunter", but only some. Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Fanglock - single target 10k dot which also pulls you toward the mob.

Drops - Tanglewolf Fang, The Alpha's Claw, The Alpha's Adornment

Temilotzin the Zealot

PH is "a dedicated Tae Ew". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Gripping Fear - single target 18 second fear and snare.
Blood Rites - single target dot which deals higher damage per tick. 30 curse counters.

Drops - Volew Scale Visor, Dagger of the Devoted, Zealot's Faceguard of Terrified Aggression

Terror Unleashed

PH is "a bloodbathed skeleton" or "a frightful spirit". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Mana Fright - single target 3k mana drain.
Breath of Night - frontal 28k dd AE.

Drops - Shrunken Petrified Amygdalan Tentacle, Terror Infused Battleskirt, Shorn Tendril of Terror's Minion

The Leaper

PH is "a stalking crawler". Hits for 6500 and randomly shadowsteps to another person on hatelist and drops agro.

Vermillion

PH is "a deadly viper". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Blood Cloud - PBAE 4k dot and melee slow.
Bloodspittle - single target 4k dot and spell range reducer.

Voracious Feeder

PH is "a frenzied feeder". Hits for up to 6500 and frequently procs:

Feeding Frenzy - single target 8k dd.

Drops - Emerald Earring, Axe of the Woodcutter, Emerald Earring of Rot

Watcher Yaotl

PH is "a lizardman watcher". Hits for up to 6000 and casts:

Whirlwind of Blades - PBAE 20k dd.

Drops - Tae Ew Stitched Spaulders, Deadeye Ring, The Watcher's Stitched Spaulders, Watchful Ring

Whitepaw

PH is "a tanglefang huntress". Hits for up to 6000 and casts:

Twilight - single target 3k heal over time with 30 curse counters. If not cured becomes a 7k dot and blind.

Xiucozcatl the Feared

PH is "a bloody Tae Ew ritualist". Hits for up to 6500 and casts:

Critical Strike - single target 20k dd and 8k dot.

Drops - Totem of Dark Rites, Fearless Bulwark, Totem of Vile Rites

Mercenary Tasks

Tangling With Wolves
Quest giver: Kavri Flightfoot
Phrase: willing to get
Reward: +5 Dream Delvers faction.

For this task you need to kill 15 wolves, 5 each of prowlers, stalkers, and hunters. They spawn all over, but west of the river has a better concentration. You will need to loot two Tanglefang Pelt as well, these drop around 75% of the time, common enough to likely give an entire group two before reaching your kill quota. Hand them in to complete the task.

A Strong Silk
Quest giver: Kavri Flightfoot
Phrase: would
Reward: +5 Dream Delvers faction.

For this task you need to kill 16 spiders, 8 each of tainted and toxic. They spawn all over the zone. You will need to loot two Orbweaver Silk as well, these drop around 70% of the time, common enough to maybe give an entire group two before reaching your kill quota. Hand them in to complete the task.

A Panting Lizard
Quest giver: Dorran Flightfoot
Phrase: thin them out
Reward: +5 Dream Delvers faction.

For this task you need to kill 16 lizardmen, 4 each of 4 types. The area just west of the western branch of the river holds all the types. Return when they are all dead.

Meat For Eat

Reward: +5 Dream Delvers faction.

For this task you need to kill gorillas in the northwest, 2 matrons and 7 patriarchs. The matrons are difficult to split from the young, so might be best to just be prepared to take them together. You also need to loot 2 Gorilla Meat, dropping around 67%. The "an angry gorilla patriarch" in the area are placeholders for the rare mob, Enraged Gorilla Patriarch. They may not count for quest credit but they can drop the meat as well.

Appeasing a Teir'Dal

Very simple kill task, 16 mobs with "Tae Ew" in the name, which are distinct from "lizardman xyz". Kill them all, return to complete the task.

Partisan Tasks

Protecting the Weak (Minded)
Quest giver: Dark Alchemist Illian
Requirement: none
Phrase: word
Reward: 10 Dream Motes, 315p, +10 Dream Delvers faction

Start by heading to the west of the fork in the river, around (-350, 720) for the first update. In the river are numerous undead, kill at least 5 of them and loot 3 Zombie Bile Sample, around 70% drop rate. Bring these back to Illian and then go northwest to the gorilla area. Kill enough to get 3 Blighted Blood Sample, also around 70% drop rate. BE SURE TO HAVE AN OPEN INVENTORY SLOT! Bring these back to Illian as well. He will then give you a container with 3 vials in it. Press combine to get a Sealed Alechic Canister. Return to the undead area, isolate one, and click the Canister on it. The undead becomes "an empowered fallen explorer", hits for over 5k, summons, immune to snare/root. It drops 6 empowered zombie bile, loot one and give it and the Canister to Illian to complete the task.

There's Something In The Water
Quest giver: Dark Alchemist Illian
Requirement: Protecting the Weak (Minded)
Phrase: collect samples
Reward: 10 Dream Motes, 315p, +10 Dream Delvers faction

Illian now sends you southwest to the kill bloodbone skeletons until you've looted 3 Bloodbone Skeleton Blood Sample (roughly 66% drop rate). Return to Illian and chat a bit to update the task and receive two collectors. Head northwest to the gorilla area and use the Azia collector at the waterfall, then follow the west branch of the river to its south end. Click the Beza collector and an awakened rotdog spawns. Kill the dog and loot the head. Turn in the things to Illian, get real close to the zone to House of Thule to trigger a location update, then return to Illian to complete the task.

An Expedition Gone Awry
Quest giver: Rupkerr
Requirement: none
Phrase: help
Reward: 5 Dream Motes, 158p, +10 Dream Delvers faction

Head to the northeast corner to the area swarming with froglok ghosts for the first update. Locate the a froglok corpse and then clear the surrounding area. /open the corpse, loot the Tattered Expedition Journal, and "a lizardman patroller" spawns and attacks, standard trash but summons. If you fail to kill it any other patroller in zone will count for kill credit. The corpse has about a 5 min respawn for triggering for multiple people. Turn the Journal in to Rupkerr to complete the task.

Occasionally the corpse won't have a Journal for some reason, just keep going and eventually it will. The task can be repeated after finishing Rupkerr's entire arc.

Uncovering the Truth

Requirement: An Expedition Gone Awry
Phrase: pages
Reward: 10 Dream Motes, 315p, +10 Dream Delvers faction

You are give a Tattered Expedition Journal when you get this task. Your first goal is to loot 4 Missing Journal Pages from any "a lizardman xyz" in the zone, roughly a 60% drop rate and can not be pre-looted. Click the Journal to create a Restored Expedition Journal and give this to Rupkerr. He sends you back to the ramp to Cazic Thule to find a Tae Ew Ritualist Grimoire, a 70% drop off the Tae Ew ritualists (the "a bloody Tae Ew ritualist" also drop it and are phs for Xiucozcatl the Feared). Give this to Rupkerr to complete the task.

The task can be repeated after finishing Rupkerr's entire arc and redoing An Expedition Gone Awry.

A Cursed Cure
Quest giver: Rupkerr
Requirement: Uncovering the Truth
Phrase: willing
Reward: 10 Dream Motes, 315p, +10 Dream Delvers faction

Your first step is to collect 4 drops from around the zone, none can be pre-looted:

Flesh Feeder's Fang - 50% drop rate from "a flesh feeder" and "a frenzied feeder"
Rot Dog Saliva - 70% drop rate from "a rotdog scavenger", "a ravenous rotdog", and "an awakened rotdog"
Orbweaver Venom Sac - 50% drop rate from "a corrupt orbweaver", "a tainted orbweaver", and "a toxic orbweaver"
Adder Egg - 50% drop rate from "a sinuous adder" (non-weak slithering may drop too)

Give all 4 items to Rupkerr and he will give you Tae Ew Ritual Incantation. Head to the waterfall around (1560, 2140) and click then incantation. Lastly kill 10 of the "a restless spirit" in the northeast region and return to Rupkerr to complete the task.
