Rank 1 and Port Spells

Rank 1 spells and ports are bought from Janeil Mon`estra in Lcaenium. In addition some classes have lower level spells that are upgrades to old spell lines such as Monster Summoning for Mages, Selo's for Bards, Spirit of Bih`Li for Beasts and Shaman, and Spirit of Eagle for Druids and Rangers.

Throughout the expansion trash (rarely), rares (commonly), and chests (always?) drop Minor-Glowing Writ of the Combine. Right click on an essence to get a reward window allowing you to choose from any Darkened Sea, Broken Mirror, or Empire of Kunark Rank 2 you want.

Rank 3

Raids in Empires of Kunark drop Minor-Glowing Runes of Kunark. Right click on an essence to get a reward window allowing you to choose from any Darkened Sea, Broken Mirror, or Empire of Kunark Rank 3 you want.

Alliance Spells

Each class gets a spell which increases damage of spells of their class. If others of the same class land enough spells in a short time it triggers a great deal of damage making them mostly useful on raids.
