Group Gear

Gear in The Broken Mirror is more complicated than in previous expansions. All gear has a Type 5 slot in addition to the normal slots and there are a host of Type 5 augments which have Heroic Stats. This allows you to customize your gear by selecting the augment which has the stats you prioritize. Furthermore, all visible gear and those obtained from instances have Level 75 stats and a Type 9 slot. The Type 9 augments have AC, hp, mana, and other stats to bring the gear up to various levels. And the Level 75 weapons also have a Type 6 slot to add damage and proc.

Visible armor comes in three forms. The first is a set of type-specific armor sold by Lyndalin Delwadamain in Plane of Tranquility for 6-10 Remnant of Tranquility each. The second is a set of class specific planar armor sold by Kamiowe Ordup in Plane of Health for 12-20 Remnant of Tranquility each. The third and best is from finding "Raw Crypt-Hunter's XYZ" from rares/chests and right clicking them to create your class specific armor. All three types have the same augment slots (5 for heroics, 7 for geeral, 9 for level stats, 13 for purity, 21 for ornament).

The first and weakest set of Level 75 gear is purchased from Lyndalin Delwadamain in Plane of Tranquility for 5-9 Remnant of Tranquility each.

The second set of level 75 gear come from rare mobs inside Plane of Hate and Plane of Fear and is slightly better than the purchased gear. The augments that drop in the planes are really quite weak for the difficulty.

The third and best set of level 75 gear come from the instances in the expansion, both from rare mob drops and from the loot chests at the end. The gear is very slightly better than drops in Fear and Hate, but since the same mobs also drop the best visible gear it is the optimal place to focus for gear with a Type 9 slot.

The final set of gear come from rares in the static versions of the zones. For weapons, getting a instance drop and filling it with purchased augments will produce better than a direct drop, for example an instanced 1HS + type 6 aug is 122/21 where the static dropped 1HS is only 101/21. For other slots the stats are close and while the instanced + type 9 gives you better control over the exact stats you want, the static drops are the only ones with clickies. The static zones also have nice augments and the expansion wide random drops.

The Type 5 augments have three parts to the name. The prefix is set based on the required level of the augment:

The central part is set based on the source: The suffix is set based on the ratio on the Heroic Stats: So the Glorious Sulstone of Courage would require level 90, be sold by Montelio, and have more Heroic Strength.

Additionally, throughout the expansion any mob can very rarely drop one of these Type 5 augments:

The Type 6 augments have sufficient +damage and proc to raise the weapon to the appropriate level and have two parts to the name. The prefix is set based on the required level of the augment:

The suffix is set based on the weapon type it fits: Sold by Shirlell Isnamgam in Plane of Health and Erthwin Firgrove in Plane of Tranquility.

The Type 9 augments give AC, hp, mana, and mod3s to bring the gear up to the appropriate level and have three parts to the name. The prefix is set based on the required level of the augment:

The central part is set based on the source: The suffix is set based on the ratio on stats or the slot in goes in:
