Lavaspinner's Lair and Tirranun's Delve Missions

Introduction

The majority of Lavaspinner's Lair and Tirranun's Delve missions are offereed by Boldger Bristlebeard, with the exception being the single progression mission given by Keeper Dilar Nelune. If you are looking to farm spiders for the various cultural armor tasks Forbin's Elixir is great since it is nothing but spider killing.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Halfling's Greed

  • Mission Giver: Boldger Bristlebeard
  • Requirement: Warmly
  • Reward: 33 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair
  • Speak to the Halfling
  • Find the first chest
  • Find the second chest
  • Find the third chest
  • Find the fourth chest

After zoning into the instance hail Tarpo Fiddengrab and follow the dialog. You need to locate and open four chests in the proper order. You can use /inspect on each to get a clue as to the order to open, but it seems the correct order is always: Gold, Cracked, Gilded, Silver. It is unknown if the chest locations can change. Each chest is guarded by non-mezzable goblins and mezzable drakes which are no more difficult than normal zone trash. /open the chests in the proper order and the task will complete on the fourth, if you get the order wrong the mission fails.

Diving for Lavarocks

  • Mission Giver: Boldger Bristlebeard
  • Requirement: Indifferent
  • Reward: 35 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair
  • Loot 6 Calcified Lava Rock
  • Slay 15 Denizens of the Delve
  • Deliver 6 Calcified Lava Rock to Boldger

This mission is very straightforward. After zoning in you need to kill at least 15 mobs of any kind while looking for containers named "Lava Rock". These are purplish and can sometimes be barely seen poking out of the lava. When you /open one you either get a drake spawn or a Calcified Lava Rock. After finding 6 rocks head back to Boldger in Lavastorm, give him the rocks to complete the mission.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Forbin's Elixir

  • Requirement: Kindly
  • Reward: 25 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair
  • Locate a Poison Sac to aid Forbin in making his elixir
  • Deliver the poison sac before it is too late to help Forbin

Once you zone into the instance simply begin killing every spider you see until one drops a Poison Sac. The drop can be rather rare so may require some serious extermination. Some reports that it only drops on respawns, but this is not confirmed. Regardless, once the sac drops hand it in to Forbin on the north side of the large chamber to the southeast to complete the mission.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Grounding the Drakes

  • Mission Giver: Boldger Bristlebeard
  • Requirement: Apprehensive
  • Reward: 28 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair
  • Loot 15 Drake Fang

Very straightforward. Zone in, slaughter drakes (hit up to 900ish), loot Drake Fang (expect about 45 kills). Once you loot the 15th the mission is won. Go home, you're done.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Infested

  • Requirement: Amiable
  • Reward: 37 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair
  • Kill 4 lavaspinner protectors
  • Kill 1 hulking lavaspinner

For this mission you first need to clear to and kill 4 Lavaspinner Protectors. These spawn in the little rooms and hit for around 1100 with AE rampage. Once those are dead make your way just outside the large chamber to southeast to face the Hulking Lavaspinner, it also hits around 1100 and flurries. When all five are defeated the mission ends.

Lavaspinner Hunting

  • Mission Giver: Boldger Bristlebeard
  • Requirement: Amiable
  • Reward: 35 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair
  • Kill 25 Lavaspinners
  • Recover samples of cracked lavaspinner eggs in Lavaspinners's Lair (3)
  • Recover a sample of pristine lavaspinner egg in Lavaspinner's Lair

During this mission as you kill spiders (expect to kill more than the 25 needed) you will get emotes:

The ground shakes slightly, and a loud crack and thud can be heard echoing through the tunnels.

This signifies that an egg sack has spawned in one of the little rooms or outside Volkana's chamber, /open them to get credit. Once you have all four egg updates the mission will be completed.

 

 

 

 

 

Lavaspinner's Locals

  • Requirement: Apprehensive
  • Reward: 41 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair
  • Defeat drakes to obtain the rare minerals needed from the area (15)
  • Defeat dervishes to obtain the rare minerals needed from the area (15)
  • Defeat spiders to obtain the rare minerals needed from the area (15)
  • Loot drake scales from drakes for research purposes (5)
  • Loot ionized ore from dervishes for research purposes (5)
  • Loot magmar carapcases from spiders for research purposes (5)
  • Make your way back to the entrance with your specimen

For this mission you need to head into each of the three wings of the zone, drakes to the north, dervishes the the west, and spiders to the east. Slaughter in each wing until you get 5 Drake Scales, 5 Ionized Ore, and 5 Magma Carapace. Once done collecting return to your zone in spot for the final update and to receive your reward.

 

 

 

The Drake Menace

  • Mission Giver: Boldger Bristlebeard
  • Requirement: Indifferent
  • Reward: 33 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the cave entrance to Lavaspinner's Lair
  • Destroy the eggs before they are able to raise an army of drakes (15)
  • Defeat the Drake Matriarch before she can produce more drakes

During this mission seek out "a drake egg" throughout the area and /open them. Roughly half the time a drake will spawn and attack. When you /open the 15th the Drake Matriarch spawns at that spot. The Matriarch can hit for upper 800s and casts Wizard spells. Once it dies the mission completes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A Goblin's Escort

Children of Gimblax

  • Mission Giver: Keeper Dilar Nelune
  • Requirement: Indifferent and first half of Tier 1 progression
  • Reward: 25 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Go to Tirranun's Delve
  • Slay Gimblax

The goal for the mission is simple enough, kill Gimblax. Gimblax spawns at the far southern end of the zone. Invis, lull, an/or kill your way to him. Gimblax is pure melee, hitting for up to 1100 and flurries. You get credit for the mission upon his death.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Storming the Goblin Temple

  • Requirement: Kindly
  • Reward: 25 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Go to Tirranun's Delve
  • Kill 25 temple creatures
  • Loot 1 Dark Manacle Key from a sealed chest
  • Loot 1 Polished Shackle Key from a sealed chest
  • Loot 1 Tarnished Shackle Key from a sealed chest
  • Explore the temple and find Amaro
  • Speak with Amaro

For this mission you need to kill at least 25 goblins and/or drakes (reportedly the basilisks don't count) and reach three chests. Either clear the rooms or train mobs away and /open all three then head far north to find Amaro. When you speak with him you will get credit and the mission ends.
