Accursed Nest Missions

Introduction

The majority of the missions for the Nest are given by Gordish Frozenheart. The mission Lair of the Blackwing is one of the highest rewards for time spent and Scrap Metal is good for an xp grind.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Clues

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the portal to the Nest
  • Explore the Ice Lair in the nest
  • Speak with Tatsujiro The Serene

This mission takes place entirely inside the ice section of the Nest. Once inside start killing everything, there are no respawns here. When you reach the far western chamber the explore step should trigger. You need to keep killing until a No Drop item is found, it should be one of these:

Once you have the item have the looter go hail Tatsujiro to complete the mission.

Dragon's Egg

  • Mission Giver: Gordish Frozenheart
  • Requirement: Indifferent
  • Reward: 68 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the portal to the Nest
  • Explore the eastern desert hatchery and locate the eggs
  • Explore the north western desert hatchery and locate the eggs
  • Loot 10 Ruined Dragon Egg
  • Speak with Tatsujiro the Serene

In this mission you need to clear your way north to trigger two location updates, both of which are guarded by an "Earthtouch Guardian". These hit for around 1400 but aren't required. You'll need to collect 10 Ruined Dragon Eggs from mobs in the area, fairly common drops though. Then simply hail Tasujiro to complete the mission.

Lair of the Blackwing

  • Requirement: Apprehensive
  • Reward: 63 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the portal to the Nest
  • Kill 6 Black Wing Drakes
  • Loot 6 Black Wing Drake Talons
  • Deliver 1 Black Wing Drake Talons to Gordish Frozenheart

Fairly direct mission, just go in and kill the Black Wing Drakes, they drop a Black Wing Drake Talon every time. Gate back and give one to Gordish to complete the mission.

Lost Comrades

  • Reward: 68 crystals

  • Explore the area and find Dorsya of Norrath's Keepers
  • Explore the area an find Varronghast of Norrath's Keepers
  • Explore the area and find Kallendro of Norrath's Keepers
  • Explore the area and find Gorvash of Norrath's Keepers
  • Loot 1 Orb of Midwinter
  • Deliver 1 Orb of Midwinter to Gordish Frozenheart

This mission takes place in the ice wing of the Nest. You'll need to locate the remains of the four Norrath's Keepers agents, Kallendro is still alive and if you hail him he will give you a damage shield buff. After getting all four updates keep killing until you get this emote:

A deafening roar shakes the frost from the walls as Shargone the Ice Drake awakens from hibernation.

This signals that Shargone has spawned in the far west chamber. Shargone is not much different than any trash mob, kill him and loot a Orb of Midwinter. Gate out and give the orb Gordish to complete the mission.

Origins of the Curse

  • Requirement: Warmly, all of Tier 4 (including raids)
  • Reward: 68 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the portal to the Nest
  • Explore the Fire Lair in the Nest
  • Find the Fragments of Zebeker's Bone Chips (4)
  • Return Fragments of Zebeker's Bone Chips to Zebeker (4)
  • Speak to Chieftain Relae Aderi

Head into the south area of the zone. You need to find four "a remnant of the curse", dervish mobs which hit for 1100ish but nothing special. Each drop a Fragments of Zebeker's Bone Chips. Hand them in to "Zebeker, a necromancer`s pet" at the entrance to the fire area then just go hail Relae Aderi to complete the mission and get your character flag for progression.

 

 

Rivals

Mission Steps:

  • Follow the trail of your rivals
  • Find your rivals and what they seek
  • Deliver 1 Ancient Tooth of Archanalia to Gordish Frozenheart

This mission takes place in the north wing of the zone. Head to the back chamber where you'll find a standoff between some Dark Reign and some normal zone mobs. Your target here is Fahsheer Delure. It is unclear if you can simply go after Fahsheer directly or if you need to fend off the entire room, but ultimately when you kill it you'll loot Ancient Tooth of Archanalia. Now you must make a choice. You can gate out and give the tooth to Gordish and get your crystals and faction, or you can give it to Silverclaw, a non-agro drake you pass heading north. Doing so causes the mission to fail, but spawns a chest with one of the following:

Reportedly the chest can also just have a gem, so probably best to give it to Gordish for the guaranteed reward.

 

 

Scrap Metal

  • Requirement: Apprehensive
  • Reward: 54 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Loot 10 Silvery Dragon Scale Fragments
  • Loot 10 Golden Dragon Scale Fragments
  • Loot 15 Metallic Dragon Shell Fragments
  • Speak with Tatsujiro The Serene

This mission takes place in the northwest wing of the zone. The objecteive is simple, kill anything that moves until you loot 10 Silvery Dragon Scale Fragment, 10 Golden Dragon Scale Fragments, and 15 Metallic Dragon Shell Fragments. The drops are fairly common so expect around 60 kills. Good setting for a Lesson of the Devoted burn.

 

 

Spider's Eye

  • Requirement: Kindly
  • Reward: 54 crystals

Mission Steps:

  • Touch the portal to the Nest
  • Loot 1 Large Spider Stone
  • Loot 1 Small Spider Stone
  • Deliver 1 Large Spider Stone to Gordish Frozenheart
  • Deliver 1 Small Spider Stone to Gordish Frozenheart

This mission takes place in the southern wing of the zone. Very direct mission, kill everything that moves until you loot both Large Spider Stone and Small Spider Stone. Evidently there is a minimum number of kills before they can drop, but can drop off anything, so be thorough in your slaughter. Then gate out and turn them in to Gordish to complete the mission.

 

 

Web of Lies

Mission Steps:

  • Find the Dark Elf
  • Speak to Keentooth and find out what is going on
  • Kill 1 Shala Belen

Information on this mission is lacking. After zoning in head south and you'll find Shala Belen in discussion with the goblin Keentooth and a number of Flameguards. When you hail Keentooth everything attacks, however the speech Keentooth gives makes the impression that if you remove your primary and secondary the goblins may not attack, but this is untested. In any case, kill Shala Belen to complete the mission.
