Summary

  1. Select 4 torchbearers, they will be snared, reduce max hp by 50%, and have to hug bosses to make them killable.
  2. Defeat Lanken Rjarn, rooted, hits 18k, and his 12 rooted skeletons, hits 14k. Recover.
  3. Defeat Ghanlin Skyfire, hits 18k, and adds from a random portal. Recover.
  4. Defeat Markus Jaevins, torchbearers hug adds to make the attackable, kill adds, then boss. Recover.
  5. Torchbearers move to roof of library, stay there for rest of raid. Run back if ported.
  6. Defeat Terris Thule as she ports around, hits 22k, flurries, cure Closing Eyes, 30 corruption counters, Neverending Sleep, 30 curse counters. Handle adds after each port. At 10% go to roof and finish her.

Phase 1

You need to select 4 people to be torchbearers. Whoever is chosen says "torch" to Erud and will be given a torch and debuffed with Burden of the Torch which is a snare, melee slow, and cuts max hp and mana in half. Most encounters in the raid will need all 4 torchbearers to get into melee range in order to activate or damage the enemy and if any of them die it can slow down the raid a good bit. Having the four of them in one group with a dedicated healer and mage (for CoH) can make things easier.

Phase 2

Tell Erud "ready" to trigger this phase after torchbearers have their torches. Three sets of 4 skeletons spawn, rooted in place. The skeletons consist of Fighters, Scrappers, and Mages. Fighters and Scrappers are pure melee, hit 14k each, Mages also hit 14k but cast: In addition to the rooted skeletons you will get 1 Skeleton Tunneler add every minute, hitting for 14k with no spells. In the third set of skeletons is Lanken Rjarn. The 4 torchbearers need to move next to him to change him into a gargoyle at which point you can damage him. Lanken hits for 18k and casts: Once Lanken and all adds are dead this phase is completed and progress is saved. Unless you get a new instance you won't need to repeat it.

Phase 3

After fully recovering from Phase 2 tell Erud "ready" to begin the next phase. Ghanlin Skyfire spawns along with three portals. He will move from portal to portal randomly summoning adds and the four torchbearers need to stay near him to keep him killable. Ghanlin Skyfire hits 18k and casts: The adds are dependant on the portal he visits: Supposedly you can keep the raid at one portal to avoid agroing adds at the others, but this is not confirmed. Once Ghanlin is defeated this phase is completed and progress is saved. Unless you get a new instance you won't need to repeat it.

Phase 4

After fully recovering from Phase 3 tell Erud "ready" to begin the next phase. Markus Jaevins and a number of non-hostile mobs spawn and roam around the building. Each will have short range AE: If the torchbearers approach one of the adds it will activate and become killable (no info on their melee). Likewise when the torchbearers get near Markus he becomes attackable as well, he casts: The adds can respawn if you take too long to kill Markus. Once Markus and all his adds are defeated this phase is completed and progress is saved. Unless you get a new instance you won't need to repeat it.

Phase 5

After fully recovering from Phase 4 have the torchbearers (and their mage if you wish) move to the roof of the library, then tell Erud "ready". Terris Thule spawns and after a bit of dialog goes to one of five locations (see below). She hits for 22k, can flurry and rarely AE rampage, and has an assortment of spells: After about a minute she ports to a different location and spawns 4-5 adds which hit 13k, different types based on where she goes: Additionally each time she ports she gets a 1 million point rune, so you need to burn hard to get any real damage in before she ports again. When she lands south of the library, she gives an emote: Terris Thule says 'Back away, adventurers, or you shall be punished. You have 10 seconds to get 125 away or she will cast a 7 slot dispel on you. Everybody within 250 range loses 1 buff. She mitigates damage when in this location, but she stays longer so it is a good place to burn hard.

Meanwhile, the torchbearers must remain at the top of the library. They will randomly get ported around and have 90 seconds to get back or the event fails (this is why a mage is useful to coh them back as they are snared by the torch). When Terris is at 10% she will port to the roof, all adds despawn but new adds will start spawning until she is killed. While on the roof she will still cast her single buff and multi buff dispells.

Loot is 2 Esoteric Remnants (random slots), 4 Spell Fragments, Pack of Woven Nightmares, a chance at a Lucid Globe of Phantasmic Power, 5 Rusty Gate Keys, 2-3 of the following:
