Dyn`leth`s Army

This event is three waves of various Drakkin, the goal is simple: Kill all 56 mobs.

  • a Drakkin Assassin - Rogues. Will shadowstep, backstab, and drop traps which will AE 8k if not disarmed.
  • a Drakkin Enforcer - Warriors. Will use /shield to protect other mobs.
  • a Drakkin Mender - Clerics. Will heal other mobs.
  • a Drakkin Trueshot - Ranger. Rooted in place, casts a 3k dd with feign death.
  • a Flame Trader - Wizard. Rooted in place, summons an azure drake add every 10 seconds.
  • a Poison Trader - Necromancer. Rooted in place, summons an emerald drake add every 10 seconds.
The drake adds can be mezzed. Some mobs will have an aura on them which is either a Silence or a 100% melee slow.

In the first wave you get 10 Drakkin and a pair of non-event trash mobs, all of which are already spawned when you start the instance. A timer starts when any are agro'd. After 8 minutes the second wave spawns and you get 18 Drakkin. After 10 more minutes the final wave spawns with 26 Drakkin. Once all the Drakkin are dead a chest spawns with the loot.

The chest contains a Mark of Ashengate to backflag Stitch and Sothgar, 2 Glowing Obsidian Rune, 2 Armor Molds (no legs or chest), chance at a Serpent's Essence, and 2 of the following:

Shade of Veldyn

A mini-boss fight which can be skipped. Veldyn is surrounded by 7 disciples, each with a unique aura with effects ranging from snare, blind, dot, slow, root, golem illusion. Veldyn herself hits for 5500, flurries, procs a 8k dd on the tank, and casts a 200 range PBAE stun, a near zone wide AE root, and a shadowstep. She has a lot of hp, but the fight is simple: stack up, avoid auras as best you can, and burn her down.

The chest contains a Mark of Ashengate to backflag Stitch and Sothgar, 3 Glowing Obsidian Rune, 1 groupable Ashengate augment, and 1 of the following:

Lethar the Black

Lethar is rooted in place, waiting for you. It is strongly suggested you pull all the zone trash around and behind Lethar before starting the event. He hits for up to 7k with single target rampage and has two spells:

Upon agro you will also get drake adds which can be any of three flavors:
  • a monitor Drake - Pure melee, immune to mez
  • a fleshrender Drake - Pure melee, can be mezzed
  • a lotusbreath Drake - Casts a frontal 1k mana drain, immune to mez

When you get Lethar to 75% he will become non-agro and run to the next room. Shortly after he resumes attacking, with a blurred hate list. The fight stays the same with AEs and drake adds.

When you get him to 50% he again moves to another room, this time an unattackable mirrorscale drake spawns. The tank needs to keep Lethar facing away from the drake or his frontal AE will get rebounded and hit the entire raid. Otherwise the fight is the same with AEs and drake adds.

At 25% Lethar moves a final time. When he reaches 5% he AE blinds and he despawns along with all adds.

In addition to the above at some point (this could be timed or set to the 25% phase, not sure). Everybody will get one of two debuffs:

  • Doom Shadow - If you get this you have 48 seconds to get cured of 4 corruption counters, or you take a 32,000 dd
  • Sunset Shadow - If you get this you gain 20,000 hp, but will still take a 32,000 dd. If you are cured, you lose the 20000 hp and will die.
Both spells have the same trigger, You sense your doom approaching, and same graphic so you need to check which you get and either call for a cure or not. No AE cures here!

The chest contains Mark of Ashengate to backflag Stitch and Sothgar, 2 Glowing Obsidian Rune, 2 Armor Molds (no legs or chest), chance at a Serpent's Essence, and 2 of the following:

Dyn`Leth, Firstborn of Lethar

Dyn`leth is rooted in place, hits for 6500, and AE rampages. At the start of the event there are 6 "an Elite Guard of Dyn`leth". These Drakkin hit for 3500 and continuously cleanse themselves of any debuff. They also cast a single target stun and FD so expect agro to bounce around. While dealing with the elites "a Scarlet Legion artificer" will spawn. These Drakkin won't attack but instead will run to one of the six stoic guardians in the room. The stoics start out a 1% and the artificers will heal them, if any reach 100% it will activate and attack. The guardians have a bunch of health, hit for 4500, and AE rampage so it is important to kill the artificers before they can activate any. They will continue to spawn for the entire event, so a team will need to be dedicated to taking them out.

Once the elites are dead turn to Dyn`leth. He has an AE fear as well as two emote mechanics:

Dyn`leth begins to draw the power of the scale around himself
Shortly after this emote Dyn`leth will get an aura, anybody inside will be silenced, slowed, snared, and lose mana/endurace.
An eldritch light shines down upon Dyn`leth from the scale
Shortly after this emote Dyn`leth will gain a 100% spell reflect buff.
When he reaches 75% he summons two named drakes Luceriax and Kapka. These drakes hit for 4500 and Luceriax casts a frontal 1k mana drain. Lecriax is 79 while Kapka is 78 and can be mezzed. Handle the drakes in whichever way best suits you, keep the artificers from activating the guardians, and take Dyn`leth the rest of the way down. At 25% he starts to slowly inch towards the lava but otherwise no new mechanics after 75%.

Dyn`leth's corpse will have the Elddar Moonlocket for Charm of Lore and the chest contains a Mark of Ashengate to backflag Stitch and Sothgar, 2 Glowing Obsidian Rune, 2 Armor Molds (no legs or chest), chance at a Serpent's Essence, and 2 of the following:

Lethar's Final Stand

Once Dyn`Leth is down Lethar and Selay spawn, non-agro. Start the event by telling Lethar "die". Lethar is again rooted in place, hits for 7k, has single rampage, and casts the same two AEs:

You will also need to contend with the mirrorscale drake for the entire event forcing you to keep Lethar facing away from it as well as the attackable drake adds:
  • a monitor Drake - Pure melee, immune to mez
  • a fleshrender Drake - Pure melee, can be mezzed
  • a lotusbreath Drake - Casts a frontal 1k mana drain, immune to mez
Last but not least every 4 minutes Lethar will cast the random debuff:
  • Doom Shadow - If you get this you have 48 seconds to get cured of 4 corruption counters, or you take a 32,000 dd
  • Sunset Shadow - If you get this you gain 20,000 hp, but will still take a 32,000 dd. If you are cured, you lose the 20000 hp and will die.
Basically the fight picks up right where the first fight ended. When you get Lethar to 75% he deagros and moves to the next location.

On the second stage Selay attacks the raid too. She hits for 5k and casts a 75 range PBAE 4k dd with shadowstep. This is in addition to Lethar, the AEs, the mirrorscale, the drakes, and the DTs. When you get Lethar to 50% he deagros and moves again.

On the third stage you have everything from the second and an additional drake, a thunder breath drake. This one, like the mirrorscale, is unattackable, moves to set positions, and casts a beam frontal AE, Lightning Breath Attack, dealing an unresistabe 12k dd to any in front of it. This is the time to burn, continue to dps Lethar to 25% and he will move for the final time.

On the fourth stage Selay tells you "Kill him". It is the same as the 3rd stage, just without Selay, and the random debuff frequency might increase.

The chest contains a Mark of Ashengate to backflag Stitch and Sothgar, 2 Glowing Obsidian Rune, 2 Armor Molds (legs or chest), chance at a Serpent's Essence, and 2 of the following:
