which starts as a 3 tick DA. When it fades you get a 30k per tick heal if you don't attack/cast, but also a 15k per tick dot.
If you don't do anything you'll be healed but if you do you lose healing and take the full dot damage instead.

Recover the Discarded Stone Table
- The task is given as you approach the central hub of the zone and starts with a location update close that gives you a stone tablet. Next is to speak with a evanglist of each essence, you can do them in any order.
- Speak with Selulian at the Pillar of the Arcane
- Obtain 3 vines to construct Melretia's Tabard
- Obtain the pattern to create Melretia's Tabard

Infuse the natural materials with Arcane Essence
- The Arcane Pillar is to the northeast and Selulian of Melretia is just outside. Chat with Selulian and follow the dialog (ending with 'favor') to the point you are told to go to the Nature pillar (southwest) and kill some of the flora to get three vines. The vines are automatically put on your cursor upon killing any of the tree or bush creatures (about 50% of kills give a vine). Once you have three go back to Arcane and go up four levels (clicking the light colored hexs go up) and roam around for a location trigger to get a tabard pattern. Then two levels under the library (or two levels above the entrance) one of the side rooms has a glowing blue orb, click that to open the infuser. Place the three vines and the pattern inside to create a Tabard of Melretia's Order completing this portion of the task.

- Obtain 3 lifeless ore to construct Anriella's Tabard
- Obtain the pattern to construct Anriella's Tabard

Breathe life into the arcane materials with Natural Essence
- The Nature Pillar is to the southwest and Il`Rator of Anriella is just outside. Chat with Il`Rator and follow the dialog (ending with 'request') to the point you are told to go to the Arcane pillar (northeast) and kill some of the wards or guardians. The lifeless ore are automatically put on your cursor upon killing any of them (about 50% of kills give an ore). Once you have three go back to Nature and go up five levels and roam around for a location trigger to get a tabard pattern. Then two levels under the library (or three levels above the entrance) one of the side rooms has a glowing green bubbly thing, click that to open the infuser. Place the three ores and the pattern inside to create a Tabard of Anriella's Order completing this portion of the task.

Cleanse the Light Materials with Shadowy Essence
- The Black Pillar is to the southeast and Wrakt of Fal`Kaa is just outside. Chat with Wrakt and follow the dialog (ending with 'favor') to the point you are told to go to the Light pillar (northhwest) and kill some of the wisps and rabbits. The purity orbs are automatically put on your cursor upon killing any of them (about 50% of kills give an orb). Once you have three go back to Black and go up four levels and roam around for a location trigger to get a crest pattern. Then two levels under the library (or two levels above the entrance) one of the side rooms has a glowing shadowy thing, click that to open the infuser. Place the three orbs and the pattern inside to create a Crest of Fal`Kaa's Order completing this portion of the task.

Purify the dark materials with Light Essence
- The Light Pillar is to the northwest and Il`Nendale of Erion is just outside. Chat with Il`Nendale and follow the dialog (ending with 'demonstrate') to the point you are told to go to the Black pillar (southeast) and kill some of the shades and horrors. The orbs of darkness are automatically put on your cursor upon killing any of them (about 50% of kills give an orb). Once you have three go back to Light and go up four levels and roam around for a location trigger to get a crest pattern. Then two levels under the library (or two levels above the entrance) one of the side rooms has a glowing white bubbly thing, click that to open the infuser. Place the three orbs and the pattern inside to create an Erion's Crest completing this portion of the task.

Walk the 12 paths of the Pillars
- With all four portions complete, return to the center and the stone will tell you to walk the paths garbed in the gear you just made. You will need to traverse all 12 portions of the paths (not including the single path that leads to center from the ground), but there are two rules: You must be wearing the piece of gear dedicated to the pillar you are traveling to and from, and you can not go onto a path you just finished. For example, to go from center to Light, you must be wearing Erion's Crest. Once there you can not take the same path back to center. To then go from Light to Nature, you must be wearing both Erion's Crest and the Tabard of Anriella. It is not possible to cross all paths without crossing some twice, but as long as you don't cross the same path twice in a row you are fine.

Pay respects to the fallen god
- After completing the circuit return to the center and you'll be asked to pledge to a side or none. If you select one of the four you'll get a big faction boost there and a negative to the opposing. If you say None you'll take a small hit to each. Completion of this task gives the port spells to Druids and Wizards.

- This is a shared task. Requires "The First Pilgrimage" and dubious faction.

Spread the word of arcane to 15 natureworkers
- The person that requests the task is given Words of Melretia. Head to the Nature Pillar (southwest) and click the Words on the alarans inside. They will either "appear receptive" and update the task or attack, if they attack you get task credit when you kill them. These mobs will continue to reagro after FD or fade as well. Either way keep clicking until you get 15 updates.
- Travel to the upper library in the Pillar of Nature

Loot a Tome of Natural Knowledge
- Go up to the 6th floor and kill mobs until you get a Tome of Natural Knowledge (1 in 4 drop rate).

Return the Tome to Selulian
- Give the Tome to Selulian to complete the task.

(opt) Impress Selulian by finishing in under 10 hours (eq time, 30 min real time)
- If you finish the task in under 30 minutes you get a Fragment of Legendary Alaran History as a bonus for evolving the Tear.

Kill 10 Arcane Interceptors
- Head to the Arcane Pillar (northeast), go down to the basement and clear out some trash. When ready step into the pool and an arcane interceptor will spawn and attack, up to two at a time if you don't get out of the pool. Spawn and kill 10 of them.

Seek the remains of the latest Natureward
- Head up 3 floors and you should find multiple dead nature alarans, right clicking one will tell you that you need to take care of the torturers. Kill the area of trash and right click again and you'll receive Unyielding Essence of Life.
- Sabotage the Arcane Infuser

Defend yourself from the Guardian
- Open the Arcane Infuser, put the Essence of Life in it, and hit combine. An Arcane Guardian will spawn and attack, has AE rampage and an AE feign death. Kill the Guardian then combine the Essence of Life in the Infuser again. At this point a LOT of mobs will attack, evac, gate, port, whatever it takes to get out.

Return to Il`Rator
- Get back to the zone and hail Il`Rator to complete the task.

(Opt) Withstand the torture of the Arcane Guardian
- While fighting the Guardian if you allow it to cast the AE feign death 3 times you get a Fragment of Legendary Alaran History as a bonus for evolving the Tear.

The Word of Fal`Kaa (g) - Wrakt of Fal`Kaa - willing to reveal the truth
- This is a shared task. Requires "The First Pilgrimage" and dubious faction. Further, if you have a light source equipped you'll have a debuff which reduces faction.
- Collect 4 vials of Ut`Len ink
- Collect 2 Ayrlak teeth

Collect 3 Vyrlak fins
- Go into the water beneath the pillars and kill some squids and witherins to collect the required bits. The items have about a 1 in 3 drop rate so won't take long.

Collect a blank tome from Light's lower library
- Head to the Light Pillar (northwest), climb to the 3rd floor, and kill until you get a Blank Tome of Light. This appears to be rare from trash.

Scribe the words of truth into the tome of light
- Head to the Black Pillar (southeast), climb to the 3rd floor, and combine the 10 items (9 drops and Blank Tome) in the infuser to create a Tome of Subversive Truth.
- Return the tome to the Pillar of Light's lower library

Report success to Wrakt
- Head back to the Light Pillar 3rd floor and roam around until you get the update. Then back to Wrakt to complete the task.

(Opt) Avoid being noticed while in the Pillar of Light
- After creating the book in the Black Pillar if you can get the location update and back to Wrakt without getting agro you get a Fragment of Legendary Alaran History as a bonus for evolving the Tear. As the quest uses location triggers for this, evac/coh doesn't seem to let you get the optional reward.

Return to Il'Nendale
- This is the most direct of the 4 Word tasks, killing the required number of mobs in the matching areas then returning to Il`Nendale to complete the task.

(Opt) Kill 2 Shadowwards
- At the top of the Pillar are Fal`Kaa`s Shadowward. They see SoS, are rooted in place, and you must be in melee range to land spells on them. While the task states it requires two, reports are a single kill is all you need. Doing so yields a Fragment of Legendary Alaran History as a bonus for evolving the Tear.

Crisis of Faith - an apparition (only visible after completed the other tasks) - pillars
- Requires "The First Pilgrimage" and all four Word tasks to request.
- Invsetigate the trees in the upper temple garden
- Find the source of the whispers
- Defeat your attacker

Return the doll to the apparition
- Start by moving around the garden in the Resplendent Temple zone following the directional whispers to visit six trees, which trees and what order is random. Keep going to other trees until a Verdantguard Ambusher falls out and attacks. When it dies you get a doll on your cursor. Each member of your group will need to trigger one, however if yours despawns and you kill one for a groupmate you still get credit. Take the doll to the apparition in Pillars of Alra.

Return the page to the apparition
- When you zone to Windsong you are given a vague direction to a tree. When you find it you're given a direction to a second and when you reach that you are spun to face another tree, even if it is on the opposite side of zone. When you reach the third a lightward ambusher spawns and attacks. When it dies you get a torn pages on your cursor. Take this to the apparition in Pillars of Alra.

- Go to the Light Pillar's (northwest) 5th floor. As you move around eventually An Erion tomeguard spawns and attacks. It isn't social so if you aren't kos you won't get adds.
- Investigate the origins of the torn journal
- Locate the journal's previous owner

- Next up is the Black Pillar (southeast). Go to the 3rd floor and right click the corpses until you get an update. Then head to the Nature Pillar (southwest) and all the way to the 6th floor. Here Anriella`s tomekeeper spawns and attacks, again not social so no adds if you aren't kos.
- Seek answers from the Arcane Pool

Disrupt the Arcanist's ritual
- Finally to the Arcane Pillar (northeast) and down to the basement. Clear some room and step into the pool to trigger Melretia`s manatender. When it dies you get Malleable Ooze on your cursor.

Return the ooze to the apparition
- Give the Malleable Ooze to the apparition to complete the task.
