Summary

1. Move quickly to the staging area to avoid extra trash.
2. Clear all trash around Thornbustle, hits 18k, single target dots, Mulch Heaps frontal AE dot and snare. Cure Rotten Lettuce-Throw, 25 corruption.
3. Avoid all deaths, if 30+ players die the event resets.
4. Kill Thornbustle, hits 20k, flurry, AE rampage. Frontal AE dot and snare, large single target dots on tank, poison and disease. PBAE dot, also poison. 1200 ds.

Phase 1

Shortly after moving from the zone in an emote goes off triggering the spawn of numerous rotdogs around the zone in addition to generic zone trash. (Eye of zomm can trigger this too) These rotdogs hit 18k and cast:

• Deep Rotdog Bite - single target 18k dot, 28 sec stun on fade
• Heinous Rotdog Bite - single target 15k dot and flux
• Vicious Rotdog Bite - single target 16k dot
• Rotten Rotdog Bite - single target 12k dot. 25 disease counters.

If you move quickly and plant a banner for later comers you can bypass most of this.

Phase 2

Around Thorbustle is an assortment of heaps and rotdogs (same as above). The Mulch Heaps can be mezzed, hit 18k and cast Slime Stream, frontal AE 23k dot and snare with 40 disease counters. The Brambly Heaps can NOT be mezzed, hit 18k and cast Rotten Lettuce-Throw, single target 24k dot with 25 corruption counters. If not cured it triggers a 40k dd and snare. Heaps respawn every few minutes so expect to deal with them for the remainder of the event.

Phase 3

Once trash is cleared engage Thornbustle. It is not rooted but has a short leash, if pulled too far it wipes agro list. It hits 20k, flurries, single and AE rampage, and casts:

• Thornbustle Reflection - Non-removable 1200 melee ds
• Composting Funk - 40 range PBAE 30k dot, 30 poison counters. Triggers a 50k dd if not cured.
• Slime Stream - frontal AE 23k dot and snare. 40 disease counters
• Vegetentacles I-IV - single target 12k-28k dot. 20 poison counters.

Best bet is to keep Thornbustle facing away from the raid, go full ranged dps to avoid the damage shield and Composting Funk AE, and keep spam poison/disease cures (and puratus) on tank to avoid dots, all while killing any Brambly Heaps that respawn.

Each time a player (pets don't count) dies an emote goes off, Ahhh... I have absorbed the soul of a fallen interloper! I shall use its energy to defend this place, for I am Thornbustle, Master of the Garden! All shall quaver in awe as I grow ever stronger, my branches and vines ever more impervious to attack! . Each death might power up Thornbustle (increasing his damage shield or strength of Vegetentacles), but this is conjecture. If 30 people die the event resets entirely.

Loot is 2 Esoteric Remnants (random slots), 4 Spell Fragments, a chance at a Lucid Globe of Phantasmic Power, 3 Rusty Gate Keys, 2-3 of the following:

• Gardener's Bixie-Pollen Mask
• Spaulders of the Topiary
• Scintillating Cape of the Garden Grove
• The Gardener's Ring
• Rotdog Trainer's Belt

• Haelgord's Talisman
• Celestial Labrys
• Gardener's Thicket Club
• Glittering Gutripper
• Ethereal Dreamspear

and chance at 1 of the following:

• Devious Felblade
• Remains of a Well Victim
• Mournful Axe of Trapped Souls
