Overview

Progression through Secrets of Faydwer begins with gaining entry to Meldrath's Majestic Mansion via the task The Search for the Ultimate Story. Once you configure your key you have access to the static zone and can then continue on with the steps to gain access to the raid version of the zone. You can also start the task Beyond the Barrier to gain entry to Crystallos (this requires a ground spawn in the Mansion, so that needs to be done first). After gaining access to Crystallos and the raid version of the Mansion you can move on to the raid version of Crystallos.

 

 

 

 

MMM Zone Access

Speak with Gimblefixx (keyword "It's a deal") to get the task The Search for the Ultimate Story. Your first goal is to obtain three items from minotaurs in Dragonspire Hills: Crank Handle with Silver Filigree, Small Silverthread Sack, and Small Silver Clockwork Device. All three are no drop, prelootable, and have around a 1 in 12 drop rate. Give the trio to Gimblefixx to get a Clockwork Key.

Use the key to unlock a door on the east side of the zone to reach King Ak`Anon. Have a chat with him and give him the key, in exchange he gives you a Clockwork Seal of Ak'Anon. Then say "leave" to get ported out. With the seal in hand return to Gimblefixx who then sends you to Clockwork Warmarshal in Fortress Mechanotus. After a brief chat he sends you on to Gurtrude the Spymaster. Hail her and say "Warmarshal sent me". If you don't have it already, get the task Disrupt the Workshop from Gurtrude as well (keyword "Alone").

Head into the static version of S.H.I.P. and hail "a steamwork spy mk-I" for a non-KoS disguise (this requires having Disrupt the Workshop task). Then locate an injured spy by taking the elevator up, then the spiral ramp, and then hug the wall to the spy. Hail them to get a Spy Report. Take this back to Gurtrude who instructs you to locate information from Meldrath's lackeys.

Next up are two specific mobs:

• Technician Masterwork - Found in Gyrospire Zeka, near the top of the spire.
• Engineer Gyrzim - Found in Gyrospire Beza, one level up after the external ramps.

Both mobs are leashed to their floors so you can't pull them to the ground, have around a 20-25 minute respawn, and drop 6 Spy Report per kill. The reports can be prelooted and you need both. You will also need a "Piece of Scrap Metal", tradable but lore, roughly 1 in 10 drop rate from any clockwork in Fortress. Give both Spy Reports to Gurtrude to update the task, then give the Piece of Scrap Metal and the Seal you got from the King. Gurtrude gives you a Clockwork Key, all you need to do is configure it...

To configure the key first click the door to the Mansion and get an emote saying how many teeth are aligned. You then right click the key to get a message about sliding the first tooth. Click the door again. If the number of correct teeth has increased you know the first one needs to be adjusted. If it went down you know it was correct before adjustment. Jot down the correct position. Now click the key until the message about the first tooth matches what you wrote down, wait 6 sec, and click it again. Waiting makes it so you adjust the second tooth. Click the door, using the same logic figure out what state the second tooth should be in. Jot that down. Now click the key till first is set correctly, wait 6 seconds, click till second is set, wait 6 seconds, and click it to adjust third tooth. Repeat the process for teeth 3-8 until all are in the correct alignment. Once done you will zone in and it goes on your keyring. You only need to do this once and you are forever flagged for the Mansion. The task continues for Mansion Raid Access.

Crystallos Zone Access

To gain access to Crystallos you need the task Beyond the Barrier, given by Aring,Jashy, Tonas, or Vesiss. All four give the same dialog and task. Each of the brothers also give a specific task, "Our Lost Brother - Find the Container I-IV". Go ahead and pick up all 4 along with Beyond the Barrier.

You need to collect 4 ground spawns, these can be collected in any order but not before getting the tasks:

• Clear Crystal Base - Northwest section of Dragonscale Hills at (3900, 2050)
• Cloudy Crystal Base - In a minotaur cave on the winding path in Loping Plains at (-100, -2700)
• Glowing Crystal Base - Deep in the crypts in Hills of Shade at (-320, 490)
• Light Blue Crystal Base - In the graveyard of Meldrath's Mansion at (700, 55)

After collecting the 4 containers go hail each of the brothers. This completes the Find the Container tasks and gives four new ones. To complete these you need to visit the 10 pool on the way to Crystallos in Dragonscale Hills. As you enter each pool a golem spawns:

1. Manastream Pool - Thistlethought spawns with 6 ooze adds.
2. Ragemire Pool - The Furyfire spawns. Hits around 2500.
3. Pool of Curents - The Wheel of Fists spawns with 2 ooze adds. All hit around 2500.
4. Lifewater Pool - Leaudevie spawns. Hits 2500, nothing special.
5. Thunderstrike Pool - Thundarrak spawns with 4 adds see invis drakes. Procs a 3k dot.
6. Pool of Dancing Tears - Prancer of Pain spawns. Has AE a spell slow, an AE 2k dd and slow, and procs Blind
7. Pool of the Ill - Pussule spawns along with 4 drakes. Casts an AE stun and mana cost increaser.
8. Firecrest Pool - Searzar spawns along with 1 add. Procs a 5k dot.
9. Pool of Prismatic Icicles - Glacian spawns along with 4 drakes. Procs a 2k dd, 3k dot, slow, and snare.
10. Arcana Pool - Pedurrutharenafarokidon spawns along with 5 drakes. No combat info.

If you trigger the golem and FD any adds will despawn before the golem does allowing you to get them each solo. Additionally you mez the adds and then chain spawn the golems if you need to do for multiple groups. Each golem drops 6 Essence when killed. Combine the essences in the containers as follows:

• Clear Crystal - Decay and Life
• Cloudy Crystal - Water, Thunder, and Arcana
• Glowing Crystal - Fire and Icicles
• Light Blue Crystal - Rage, Sadness, and Mana

After doing the combines seek out Laiyken. He will give you a Master Crystal Base, combine the 4 crystals inside this to get Primatic Crystal Charm. This completes your access to Crystallos. The task continues for Crystallos Raid Access.

MMM Raid Access

Picking up where you left off, go hail Clockwork Warmarshal after configuring your key. He will give you the task "Exploring the Mansion" sending you to get 5 location updates within the Mansion. These can take a good bit of clearing to reach:

• Oil Fountain - straight in from zone in.
• Glass Wall - main floor, continue north through the Oil Fountain room until you reach the aptly named Glass Wall.
• Steam Stage - take the east ramp to second floor, follow the hallway through one room and north to an Elevator room. Take the elevator up and make your way to the southeastern most room.
• Compression Room - Zone in from Steam Factory instead, head west through the first room then turn south.
• Steamwork Graveyard - from Compression Room just keep going west.

Add these to your map file if needed:

• P 0, -190, 4, 0, 127, 0, 3, Oil_Fountain
• P -10, -655, 0, 0, 127, 0, 3, Glass_Wall
• P 325, -355, 105, 0, 127, 0, 3, Steam_Stage
• P 150, -516, -75, 0, 127, 0, 3, Compression_Room
• P -45, -685, -92.5, 0, 127, 0, 3, Graveyard

Once all is updated return to the Warmarshal.

Next come the first raid targets. You'll need a Cryptic Timetable off Deepscar and a Coded Log Sheet off Big Bynn I. Both raids drop 12 items per kill and they can be prelooted. If you preloot them and it doesn't update when you reach this step attempt to hand one in, cancel the trade, it should return and update. With both updated hail Warmarshal again and he sends you to find a means of decoding the documents. You'll need a Prototype Decoder from either Oxidilus the Junk Collector (group mob, normal ph/named spawn chance at location (2355, 922), hits for over 6k) or Octa the Collector (raid mob). Both drop 6 decoders per kill, tradable, lore, and can be prelooted. Combine the Cryptic Timetable and Coded Log Sheet inside the Decoder to get a Codified Prototype Decoder. Return to Warmarshal.

Next you need to collect 3 Notebook Pages from the 3 raid targets in the Steam Raid instance. Each target drops 12 pages per kill. Combine one of each inside the Codified Prototype Decoder to create a Majestic Mansion Milestone and Meeting Schedule. Finally, hail the Warmarshal once more and you are flagged to request and join the Mansion Raid.

Crystallos Raid Access

Picking up where you left off, when you did the final hail you were given the task Exploring Crystallos. For this you need to visit each of the elemental wings in Crystallos, should get an update in the Squires' rooms. After getting the four updates return to Laiyken. Next you need An Oil Stained Crystal from Meldrath, 12 drop per kill. Hail Laiyken with the crystal and you are fully flagged to join and request the Crystallos raid.
