Progression

Progression in Seeds of Destruction covers 3 areas: which version of The Void you enter, which versions of Mercenaries you can hire, and if you have access to Korafax. While the three are connected they are not exactly the same. Each of the first four themes: Oceangreen, Kithicor, Field of Scale, and Rathe, have self-contained progression (outlined below). Each theme you complete increments the version of The Void by one, regardless of order. If you've done none you are in Void A. If you complete any of the four themes you move to Void B. Completing any two moves you to C, three for D, and all four for Void E. You can mix and match group with raid completions along the way, for example doing Field of Scale group progression and Kithicor raid will count as two themes putting you in Void C. But doing Kithicor group and Kithicor raid still only counts as one so Void B.

Korafax is initially locked. For access to the zone you either need to do ALL four themes' group progression or ALL four themes' raid progression. These can NOT be mix and matched. Meaning if you do Rathe group progression along with Oceangreen, Kithicor, and Field of Scale raids, that will count as four themes and give access to Void E, however it will NOT give access to Korafax. Completing Korafax and Kuua progression will advance you to Void F. To reach the final version, Void G, you need to also complete raids in Discord Tower.

Initially you have access to only Tier 1 of Journeyman Mercenaries. Each theme when completed unlocks a specific rank: Oceangreen is Tier 2, Kithicor is Tier 3, Field of Scale is Tier 4, and Rathe is Tier 5. These are not sequential or cumulative meaning if you start in Field of Scale then you'll have access to exactly Tier 1 and 4. Raid progression does not count towards unlocking Mercenaries.

Group tasks/missions are marked with (g). See each theme's page for details on pre-requisites.

Raid progression in Seeds of Destruction is fairly minimal. The only thing absolutely needed is Korafax access to do the three Korafax targets. The requester for Citadel needs to do all three and all raiders (subject to 85/15 rule) need to loot a Tower Key from any event, each target dropping two per kill. Thats it. There is no progression requirement to do the lower tier raids at all. However, since each raid target unlocks specific Rank 3 spells in The Void and visible armor from Citadel requires having the matching piece from Tier 3, most guilds will decide to clear them all at least once.
